  • Administrative Assistant Academic Affairs (Temporary) Columbus Campus

Serves as the administrative assistant and receptionist to all Student Services offices located in the Student Center, including Residence Life, Disability Services, Career and Employment Services, TRIO, Student Activities, Academic Transfer Specialist and the Academic Success Center. Also provides assistance to students, supervisors and staff. Assists with other Student Services functions as needed. Will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

-An earned AA Degree

-A moderate level of analytical ability is required (e.g. read, analyze, interpret general business information; calculate percentages, tables and apply basic mathematics; ability to interpret instructions)

-A moderate level of interpersonal skills is needed in communicating with students, scheduling appointments and greeting visitors. Refers students to additional resources as needed. -Possess a working knowledge of college software to produce correspondence, enter data for reports, and maintain documents and databases.

  • ESL Instructor (Part-time) Lexington Campus.

A Bachelor's degree is required, with at least 1 year related experience preferred. Requires excellent communication skills as well as a genuine interest in adult learners. Formal teaching experience not required but helpful. Requires understanding of curriculum, instruction, adult learning styles, technology and the educational process normally acquired through a bachelor's degree in education or a related area. Must be proficient in reading, writing, math and English grammar at the high school level. Computer proficiency is essential. Instructor will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing an instructional program for English Language Learners 16 and older to develop their English language skills through Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, and Math. Classes are held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm at the Central Community College Center in Lexington.

  • ITS Service Center Specialist (Part-time) Hastings Campus

A high school diploma or GED required. Ability to understand information technology principles and applications in trouble shooting of computer and related equipment to the component level. Requires an entry level of analytical skills to diagnose needed repairs and/or fixes of computer and software, determine optimal method for making such repairs and/or fixes, recommend computer and related equipment which will best meet college needs. Requires an entry level of interpersonal skills to exchange factual information about various computer and related equipment with college personnel, students, and stakeholders. Requires ability to transport items up to 40 pounds. Requires an advanced user working knowledge of current application software (MS Office), current OS or Mobile OS software (Windows/Linux), and web applications (IE, Firefox) usage. Individual will be responsible for college IT phone and informational support help desk. Phone support will aid employees and students with IT issues related to college learning. This support will be Tier level one type of Customer Service support. The intern will escalate and assign level two help requests to ITS technicians, administrators, or virtual campus stakeholders. Will assist ITS technicians with ITS client system resources including; security, hardware, software, and OS installation/support, inventory tracking, computer wiring, hardware/software/configuration standards, and technical service and support for the college during non-teaching days.

  • Administrative Assistant (Part-time) Grand Island Campus

-Associate's Degree in Business, Office Technology or other related degree preferred with one to three years experience.

-A moderate level of analytical ability is required (e.g. read, analyst, interpret general business information, calculate percentages, cost estimates, tables and apply basic mathematics, ability to interpret instructions and prioritize workload).

-A moderate level of interpersonal skills is needed in communicating with students and staff, scheduling appointments and greeting visitors. Refers students to additional resources as needed.

-Ability to maintain good working relationships with internal departments and external resources.

-Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other college software to produce correspondence, enter data for reports, and maintain documents and databases.

-Serves as administrative assistant for Veteran & Military Services Department.

-Provides support services to the students, staff and faculty to carry out the goals of the department. This includes a variety of administrative, clerical and receptionist duties.

This position will work regular departments hours with some nights and weekends for community events and must have the ability to work productively in an open environment. Individuals with experience working with military personnel are encouraged to apply.
