Finance Director
Ralston, NE - Population 7,220. The City of Ralston (Metro Omaha) is seeking a Finance Director who appreciates challenges and pro-actively seeks opportunities. The Finance Director is a leader for the City in developing budgets, analyzing City revenue and expenditures, working with City staff to find efficiencies and ensuring financial decisions align with policy decisions. The new Finance Director will be a key figure in helping manage the City's $250 million Hinge redevelopment project.
Highly technical work managing a broad range of city finance functions. Work involved responsibility for planning and coordinating all city financial transactions and purchases as they relate to city finances. Duties include financial forecasting and planning, budgeting and reporting, systems development, debt and cash management, internal auditing, investments, TIF and grants management, payroll, revenue collection, and pension administration. The work requires thorough knowledge, skill and ability in every phase of financial management.
Minimum requirements include: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field. Certified Public Accountant license desirable. Must have five (5) years of experience in public accounting and finance or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be bondable.
