Vice President of Operations
General Responsibilities: Oversee operations department and direct staff to provide quality member service. Administer the card service program, including Debit cards and the accompanying relationship with VISA. Build an effective member relationship culture to meet credit union goals and objectives. Manage operations personnel, processes, and products. Provide administrative support for regulatory compliance and executive team actions.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
1. Engage in member relationship training and coach staff to cross-sell products and services
2. Oversee the administration of debit card services
3. Coordinate frontline operations at all locations
4. Allocate human resources to meet the operational needs of all locations
5. Oversee operational compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations
6. Recommend and assist with product promotions
7. Recommend department goals and objectives and implement strategic planning initiatives
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience.
Required Knowledge: A thorough knowledge of banking services and products. Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements. Solid understanding of operations of financial institutions.
Experience Required: Two to five years of credit union, or related financial institution experience. At least two years of supervisory experience.
Skills/ Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work knowledgeably with computer applications. Strong leadership and supervisory abilities. Able to maintain effective and efficient workflow.
