Independent Insurance Agency Bookkeeper
We are an Independent Insurance Agency looking for a skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper that would like to join our growing team. As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing payroll, handling accounts payable and receivable, as well as other various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial concepts, is proficient in QuickBooks Online and has experience with double entry bookkeeping.
Responsibilities:
* Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
* Process payroll and ensure accurate calculations
* Prepare and post journal entries
* Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
* Generate financial reports as needed
* Assist with tax preparation and filing
* Manage the licensing requirements for the agency and agents
* Process commission statements
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years experience as bookkeeper or similar role
* Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles
* Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
* Excellent organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to navigate our Agency Management System
This is a Part-Time position, offering a competitive salary, benefits, and training.
