Elkhorn West Construction, Inc. opened its doors for business on February 2nd, 2005 in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Elkhorn West moved office and shop location to 15225 Industrial Road Omaha, NE where we are more centrally located. For years, the employees of this company have collaborated to work on projects both small and large throughout Nebraska & Iowa. With over 100 years of combined in house experience, Elkhorn West Construction has worked on medical facilities, universities, public & private schools, government facilities, restaurants, churches, multi-unit housing, and much more. We are dedicated to bring diligence, constancy, and satisfaction to our customers. Tom Gurnon, Owner and President, has worked his entire career in the general construction industry. Tom has served a various local construction associations and boards to help the direction of the local industry. Tom served as the Associated Builders and Contractor’s Cornhusker Chapter President in 2011 and continues to participate in many committees that promote local construction progress. Construction has always appealed to Tom, who learned a strong work ethic from his father working at the South Omaha Terminal Railroad. “You grow and evolve, and learn things by watching and listening. You have to sit back and hear what others have to say before you can have your own voice.” Elkhorn West Construction has strived off the concepts Tom has instilled throughout this company.
