Database Developer
Review, evaluate, design, develop, implement and maintain company databases and develop implementation documentation (data sources, diagrams, and other movement process). Write code for database access, modifications, and constructions (stored procedures, and analyzes, designs). Implement database schemas and provide expertise in creating database tables, views, indexes, constraints, stored procedures, rules and other objects to optimize performance and enforce data integrity. Design solutions for multi-table, multi-database, and complex processing needs. Work closely with IT staff and end-users to design and develop specifications, data dictionaries, and access methods. Use query execution plans to ensure proper design. Implement plans and procedures to automate and improve efficiency and effectiveness of data processes and analysis. Use scheduling tools and scripting routines to automate data loading and refreshing from internal and external sources. Manage and lead SSIS integration projects. Design and implement ETL-style operations using SSIS. Develop SQL queries to create business applications. Assist in developing, generating, and distributing SQL Reports supporting line-of-business production systems and ad-hoc decision support needs. Provide effective testing of new technology related to data management, storage, and retrieval. Work with software development project teams to develop and execute testing procedures for database enhancements and corrections and with team to optimize continuous integration and deployment. Participate in Agile-style project processes and provide database leadership to project teams, mentor team members on database technologies and SSIS packages and workflows, and identify and champion improvements to database aspects of projects.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or closely related field with 5 yrs exp developing complex database systems for multi-tier, web-based and mobile technologies that includes proficiency with database development, including the development of stored procedures, indexes, ActiveBatch jobs, SSIS packages and RedGate tools and with current and recent versions of SQL Server, Visual Studio, and Windows and Microsoft Office computing environments; familiarity industry standards regarding Microsoft database development concepts, practices, and procedures.
