Overview
We are looking for a Human Resource Manager to join our team in Portland. The ideal candidate would manage all aspects of the human resource function for approx. 200 employees in multiple locations. The HR Manager will participate in the development, coordination, implementation and administering of personnel policies, procedures and programs which address: employment process, employee relations, benefits and compensation, affirmative action, state and federal labor regulations (employment law), employee relations, and record management. Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required
- 7+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles
- 3+ years of experience in Employee Relations
- Demonstrates excellent full loop communication
- Possess excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Experience with HRIS and workflow processes
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred

Responsibilities
- Enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices
- Works with the recruiting manager interviewing candidates; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes
- Owns and is responsible for new employee orientation and on-boarding
- Assist with the annual performance review cycle
- Champions the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall vision
- Responsible for all aspects of employees relations from coaching managers on written and verbal communication as well as hearing employee concerns and brining all matters to resolution
- Explains employee benefits programs and informs employees of current benefit
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings
- Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records
- Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Responsible for Corporate HR programs and works with outside locations for support and implementation contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
