Position Summary:
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Monmouth University is seeking applications for Adjunct Professors of Art Methods Elementary/Secondary.

The candidate would be expected to: teach 3-6 credits per semester.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Other Requirements:
Master’s degree in education or an art-related field. NJ Teacher Certification.

Reflective listener, individualize instruction, instructional methodology, thorough command of Praxis exam and edTPA performance assessment for teacher candidates, art history, basic design, various mediums and techniques, cultural awareness to art, art analysis, creativity, technology in the arts, command of developing skills such as drawing, writing, painting, communication and culture through art mediums.

Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of experience in Art Methods and Instruction, elementary through secondary. Proficient use of current classroom technologies and campus learning platform such as eCampus.
