The Nebraska Association of Schools Boards is seeking Superintendents for the following school districts:
- Auburn, NE - Application Deadline: Tuesday, November 26, 2019
Auburn Public Schools District is located in southeast Nebraska. Educators in the rural district strive to provide excellence in education for all PK-12 students. In 2015 -16, the district was recognized as 1 of 5 "Excellent" school districts in Nebraska. In 2018, the district was also honored as a top 5 school that has "Closed the Achievement Gap." Differentiated instruction allows teachers to meet the varied needs of students. A high ability learner program includes enrichment camps, HAL diploma program, advanced classes, & academic competitions. High school students may also enroll in Advanced Placement (AP), online, and/or dual credit classes. A school improvement process guides teachers and administrators in setting goals, assessing academic progress, and developing new instructional strategies to address students' needs. Currently, teacher staff development focuses on improving math instruction, engaging student in learning, and implementing a school-wide behavior plan.

Bertrand Community School is a rural school in Phelps and Gosper counties. The K-12 enrollment is PK 22 and K-12 240, with 27 teachers employed. The teachers range in experience from 1 year to 38 years. The elementary grades establish a solid educational base, while the 7-12 grades offer a mix of vocational and college preparatory opportunities.

Chadron Public Schools is a Class III district serving approximately 900 students. Buildings include a preschool, primary(K-2),intermediate(3-4), middle school(5-8), and high school(9-12). The district is AdvancED Accredited. For multiple years, the district has scored high academically. The high school has been recognized by US News and World Report as one of the top high schools in Nebraska and the highest ranked high school west of Omaha for the past four years in a row. The district is located in the Northwest corner near the Nebraska National Forest, eight miles north of Chadron State Park and East of historical Fort Robinson. The community is home to Chadron State College. The district has forged partnerships with Chadron State College and other ESU #13 schools to provide opportunities for expanded learning for our students. Our district implemented a one to one IPAD initiative at the high school in January 2013

Crawford Public School is a Class 3 K-12 district located in rural northwestern Nebraska. Less than 10% of the students are of non-white ethnic backgrounds and graduation rates are consistently above the state average. Crawford Elementary School provides a School-wide Title 1 program. The district is comprised of two buildings. The Elementary houses PreK-6, the Jr. Sr. High building houses 7-12. There are no rural attendance centers in the Crawford District. In the elementary building, the 6th grade is departmentalized in the areas of Science and Social Studies and shares staff with the Jr. High. 6th grades students participate in these classes in the 7-12 building. The district provides a collaborative Pre-K program with Head Start. The district received a continuation grant for its After-School program through the 21st Century Schools grant program. Both schools sponsor a local Parent Leadership Team.

Elba Public School is a PK-12 district with approximately 110 students. It is located in the northwest corner of Howard County in the beautiful North Loup River Valley of central Nebraska. The School has a PK-12 Superintendent, PK-12 Principal, PK-12 Guidance Counselor, 20 certified staff, and 11 classified staff members who are dedicated to meeting the individual needs of each student. Elba is a class D-2 school that prides itself on providing a wide variety of course offerings delivered by a highly qualified staff in a small school environment. The mission of Elba Public School "educates students through individualized instruction to build skills to enhance our community". Our Motto is "enhancing lives one lesson at a time".

Elm Creek Public Schools is home to approximately 350 students in grades PK-12. There are 34 teachers, 12 classified staff, and 7 paraprofessionals serving the ECPS students. Extracurricular activities include sports and fine & performing arts in the Fort Kearny Conference. The first school in the state of Nebraska to have a competitive eSports team. We have active FCCLA and FFA programs. Our mission is to educate all students based on high educational standards. Support a safe environment that welcomes diversity and mutual respect among adults and students. Prepare all students, in cooperation with staff, family and community, to be well-rounded contributing members of society. We have expanded our course offerings to include a large variety of college courses through Central Community College. Elm Creek is located approximately 15 miles west of Kearney, NE on Highway 30 and two miles from Interstate 80.

Nebraska City Public Schools serve over 1400 students. In addition, a Career Academy, Impact Program and Pre-School help round out the needs of a diverse student population. The Board of Education, Administrative Team, Staff, Students, Patrons, and Parents all promote a positive learning environment. The district provides high-quality educational opportunities for ALL students and recognizes the importance of a well-rounded educational experience. Balanced Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment are aligned to the state standards. Various support systems including Special Education, Career Academies, English Language Learning, High Ability programs, Extra Curricular activities, training in Marzano strategies, support from ESU 4, PBiS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports), RtI (Response to Intervention) and Fine Arts/Athletics programs all collectively support student learning. Valentine Community Schools is a class 3 district located in north central Nebraska. The district is comprised of Valentine High School, Valentine Middle School, Valentine Elementary, and three rural attendance centers. Valentine Community Schools encompasses a geographic area of approximately 3400 square miles covering most of Cherry County.
- Rock County in Bassett, NE- Application Deadline: Tuesday, December 31, 2019
Rock County Public Schools is located in the heart of the Sandhills. RCPS services an area of over 1000 square miles. The hub of RCPS is centered in Bassett, Nebraska, where Rock County High School and Bassett Grade School are located. Completing our district is Pony Lake Community School, which is located 23 miles southeast of Bassett. We educate 245 students grades PK-12 district-wide. Students are instructed by 28 certified staff for a 8.75 to 1 student/teacher ratio.
