The Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center (YRTC) Coordinator of Teaching and Learning is responsible for providing support to the teachers, administrators and staff across YRTC campuses (West Kearney, Geneva, Lincoln, Whitehall, Nebraska Youth Academy) in order to improve instruction, learning opportunities and student performance.

The YRTC Coordinator of Teaching and Learning supports and communicates a clear instructional vision to teachers and administrators to ensure high-quality instruction through responsibilities such as implementation of high-quality instructional materials, curriculum development and lesson planning, data analysis, program evaluation and professional learning. The YRTC Coordinator of Teaching and Learning reports progress to and is evaluated by the Principal. The YRTC Coordinator of Teaching and Learning pursues opportunities to increase the instructional capacity of classroom teachers as well as supports the implementation of the campus's Continuous Improvement Plan.

This is a contractor position to last approximately one year from date-of-hire.


Master's degree in education, Nebraska Administrative & Supervisory Certificate, and at least three years of administrative experience. Educational doctorate and superintendent or Special Education endorsement preferred.
