Nebraska Public Media, Nebraska's PBS and NPR Station seeks a visionary leader for its award-winning, 10-member multi-platform news team which is part of regional partnerships and a national collaborative with NPR.
The ideal News Director candidate will have a passion for enterprise journalism, devotion to editorial integrity and ethical standards and practices, ability to create and execute strategies, proven track record creating compelling and engaging news content on multiple platforms, strong leadership, supervisory, editing, and communication skills, and a familiarity with public media journalism. On-air radio and/or television experience, audio and video production, project management, and knowledge of Nebraska and the Midwest, are bonuses. Nebraska Public Media is a statewide media company based in Lincoln, Nebraska, a growing Midwest city with extensive bicycling and walking trails, multiple colleges and universities, a vibrant music and arts scene, and outstanding public schools.
