Professor of Practice in Education, PreK12 Engagement and Outreach, College of Education

The College of Education is seeking to hire an entrepreneurial leader to serve as Professor of Practice in prek12 Education Engagement and Outreach. This is a non-tenure line full-time 48-week faculty appointment position funded for three years from the date of hire, with the possibility of refunding. Full university benefits apply. The responsibilities of the position include developing mutually beneficial partnerships for the College of Education with K12 school professionals; coordinating outreach activities from the College's twelve Centers and Institutes; designing and providing professional development opportunities for current school leaders, teachers, and counselors; and enhancing current outreach efforts that may include serving as the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania School Study Council, depending on qualifications and interest.

Required qualifications include evidence of an earned doctoral degree in Education or a related field, and experience in educational leadership at the district level, as an education service agency leader, or in other relevant leadership positions.

Desired qualifications include experience building partnerships with K12 schools, translating research into practice, providing professional learning for educators and other school personnel, and designing professional learning across multiple modes of instruction.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
