The Educational Support and Disability Services Coordinator works with faculty, staff, students, and appropriate outside agencies to identify, employ, and evaluate appropriate resources and methods to assist students in addressing obstacles to academic success for students both in and outside of the classroom. Coordinates all services ensuring compliance with ADA and provides leadership and consultation in promoting access and equity for persons with disabilities. Coordinates activities surrounding the tutoring of students; including hiring, coaching, and monitoring tutors. Provides probationary advising services. Will also be responsible for coordinating tutorial and disability accommodation services. This position also provides test-proctoring and student advising services. The coordinator will serve as point person for contact for international students after their arrival to campus and provide tutoring, support, and resource referrals. This position is exempt regarding FLSA overtime provisions. This position is covered by the NSCPA negotiated agreement.

A bachelor's degree is required.

A master's degree in counseling or education and experience working with tutorial and/or disability service programs are preferred.
A working knowledge of ADA compliance laws, best practices in higher education learning assistance programming, and theory associated with intrusive academic advising also strongly preferred.
Familiarity with tutorial strategies, ability to provide programmatic leadership, and proficiency in verbal and written communication are preferred.
Should have excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in the application of developmental theory to the college experience as well as ability to maintain confidentiality.
