Job Summary

Responsible for cultivating relationships with community and referral partners, including schools and other nonprofit organizations. Assists with grant writing and fundraising. Represents PHC at community outreach meetings and events to raise visibility of PHC. Support development of content for social media channels. Creates copy for website, internal communication platforms, newsletters, and other marketing collateral.  

 

Essential Functions

  1. Coordinates community outreach and education opportunities to promote PHC services, elevates awareness of PHC, builds relationships with nonprofit partners and referral sources through community outreach, to drive patient visits.
  2. Collaborates with departments across PHC to promote services and programs.
  3. Supports Multi-Media Communications Manager with simple graphic design and website updates.
  4. Creates content for blogs, newsletters, press releases, and marketing collateral.
  5. Engages new donors and initiates a stewardship plan, assists in event planning. 
  6. Contributes to PHC’s internal communications system to effectively share information through the organization including the intranet, weekly update, staff, and patient communication boards.
  7. At the direction of the Multimedia Communications Coordinator, completes assigned tasks received via the marketing ticketing system.  Communicates with internal customers on timeline, coordination, and creation of their requests.
  8. Continuously improve PHC’s digital footprint by capturing and analyzing data/metrics, insights and best practices.
  9. Assists with event planning and execution, including coordinating registration and other logistics, event promotion, and other duties related to hosting a successful event.
  10. Participates and assists in planning of fundraising tactics.
  11. Serves as the initial point of contact for inbound requests/inquiries online.
  12. Performs data entry to track donor contributions.
  13. Provides administrative support to the Marketing & Fund Development Director.
  14. Develops and maintain knowledge of PHC programs and services.
  15. Develops and maintain knowledge of industry and technological trends.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.

Experience: 2 years relevant experience.

License/Certifications: N/A

Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  2. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to utilize database applications.
  3. Ability to work efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
  4. Creative and adaptable.
  5. Demonstrated effective planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  7. Effective problem solver and self-starter.
  8. Works collaborative with team members.

Other Job Requirements:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Education: None.

Experience: 

  1. Intermediate graphic design experience.
  2. Social media management or coordination experience.
  3. Event planning experience.
  4. Community outreach experience.
  5. Experience with Adobe InDesign.

License/Certifications: None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  1. Website development
  2. Video editing
  3. Bilingual, verbal and written language proficiency, English/Spanish.

 

Typical Work Hours

This position typically works 40 hours per week. Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. This position will also attend community and outreach events during nights and weekends. Schedule will be flexible to accommodate upcoming events.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is dependent on education and experience. PHC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
