Job Summary:
The Anderson College of Business and Computing at Regis University invites applications for a tenure-track position (full-time, 9-month appointment per year) at the level of Assistant Professor in the Computer and Cyber Sciences department within the ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) Program.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential:

As part of the BSCS faculty, the successful candidate will teach classroom and online classes within the BSCS program. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to teach both the undergraduate Mobile Computing and Web & Database courses in an on-campus, classroom setting, while assuming curricular oversight of these courses. Candidates will also be expected to establish a research agenda that results in peer-reviewed research publications within the CS discipline, which may include computing education research. Faculty also serve on college and university committees in addition to their teaching and scholarly requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess a PhD or ABD in Computer Science from a regionally accredited institution. Candidates must be willing to teach both traditional and adult learners in both face-to-face and online settings. Applicants must exhibit excellent communication skills, enthusiasm for working with undergraduate students and the potential to develop an independent research/scholarship program.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in these areas (all qualifications need not be met):
  • Teaching undergraduate students in a traditional environment
  • Teaching post-traditional (adult) students in a virtual environment
  • Advising and mentoring students
  • Industry experience
