Sworn Deputy Opportunities
We are very proud of our Deputies and our fast-growing community. Deputies serve in many roles:

• Road Patrol

• Warrants/Fugitive Task Force
• Narcotics
• School Resource Officer
• DARE/GREAT Instructor
• Courthouse Security/Transport
• Civil Process
• Professional Standards Unit

• Mental Health Unit

Deputies also have the ability to join auxiliary units such as:

• Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT)

• Dive Team
• Honor Guard
• Project Lifesaver
• Rapid Deployment Force
• Bike Patrol

Deputies are no longer assigned to work in the Sarpy County Jail. Upon successful completion of training, Deputies move right to the Road Patrol.

The current FOP Lodge #3 base Payscale for Deputy Sheriffs ranges from $64,449 to $90,439 annually. This does not include specialty pay or overtime.

Deputies also receive $2,500 annually for the first two years for personalized law enforcement equipment and $1,500 every year after.

Deferred Compensation and a Health Retirement Account are both great programs offered to add to your county-supported retirement account (similar to a 401(k)).

Longevity pay ranging from $885-2,400 annually, with options to place into retirement accounts for additional savings!

Current policy does not require tattoos to be covered. Deputies may proudly display their tattoos, so long as the tattoos aren't considered offensive.
