PreSchool Director and a Custodian

PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR
St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna is seeking a Preschool Director serving ages 3 to 5-years-old. The incumbent can choose one of three different work schedules: (A) Work a 40-hour work week over a 52-week year and be paid a full annual salary with full benefits; OR (B) Work 11 months of the year at 40 hours per week and take the month of June off. This includes some benefits; OR (C) Work on an hourly basis and be paid an hourly wage with the months of June and July off. The Preschool Director is supervised by the Parish Manager and directly accountable to the Pastor.

CUSTODIAN
Our parish is also seeking a Custodian. We are offering the incumbent(s) a choice to job-share with an additional Custodian (each working 20 hours per week) OR hire one full-time, day Custodian (8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday). The Custodian is paid a competitive hourly wage (with overtime when necessary) and reports to our Facility Manager. The Custodian makes sure that our church, parish center/kitchen, and preschool are kept neat, clean, free from clutter and safe. Duties require picking up and emptying trash, collecting recycling, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, making sure buildings are secure, dusting furniture, and cleaning windows.

St. Patrick offers competitive pay and an excellent benefits package to full-time employees including health, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment, long term disability, and a tax deferred 403(b) retirement plan. For health and dental coverage, St. Patrick pays 95% of the premium for the employee. Family coverage is available, but the employee pays 100% of the premium for additional dependents. We offer 10 days of vacation up to 5 years of service, and more beyond 5 years of service. We also observe 8 paid holidays including some additional paid time off for Holy Days of Obligation.
