Job Description:


SUNY Schenectady County Community college is seeking a part-time Grant Coordinator in the Office of Administration. This position will be a liaison between the Finance Department and grant-funded program Project Directors. This position will provide support and guidance to Project Directors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Project Directors with budgets and budget amendments, in particular with salaries and benefits, including budgets for pre-award proposals
  • Assist programmatic staff with navigation of grantor systems
  • Understand and implement grant program cost principles
  • Enter budgets and budget amendments into Banner
  • Develop and maintain databases with benefit information and allocate expenses
  • Send reports to Project Directors on a monthly basis for their records
  • Work with Project Directors on end of fiscal year reporting to ensure accuracy and timely reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration or related field OR Bachelor's degree or higher plus experience in Business Administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with grants
  • Experience in Higher Education administration
Special Information:
  • The exactly weekly schedule can be negotiated with the successful candidate. The incumbent will work 15-17 hours a week during the normal work day, which is 8:30am to 4:30pm.
  • VISA sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Offers of employment will be conditional based on the successful completion of a background check and verification of official College transcripts.

Salary: $17.17 per hour
