Job Summary
The Kentucky Children's Hospital Office of Philanthropy seeks a Senior Director of Philanthropy to join our growing team. The Senior Director will report to the Executive Director and will manage the daily functions of the KCH Philanthropy team and maintain a portfolio of 75-100 donors.
This position is responsible for establishing and leading a major and leadership giving program for the UK Kentucky Children's Hospital. The incumbent will need to be a fundraiser themselves and lead a major and leadership giving team to achieve UK Philanthropy metrics in visits, proposals, and dollars.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in written and oral communication, conveying the value of healthcare/medicine to constituents. The candidate will need to have proficiency in all Microsoft programs; extensive project management experience as well as experience in cultivating donors through various mean; ability to lead others, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; demonstrates strong analytical and qualitative research experience; be well organized; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); strong ability to engage and motivate others; active listening skills; enjoy working independently as well as in a group; and a thorough understanding of employee and budget management. S/he will have the ability to create donor relationships quickly that lead to the solicitation and closure of major gifts.

Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's required, Master's preferred in any area. Experience working with c-level executives preferred.
