Job Description
The College of Education & Human Development (CEHD) is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of undergraduate recruitment programs. The individual in this position reports to the Director of Recruitment, Diversity and Inclusion and works in conjunction with another Recruitment Coordinator to facilitate the retention, outreach, and overall success of all members of our student community, especially those from backgrounds who historically have encountered barriers in education (e.g., Dorsey Leadership Academy, First Generation). The role includes administrative responsibilities, data collection, event coordination, mentorship, collaboration, and educator duties that shift based on student need, projects, and programming occurring during the academic calendar.
To drive recruitment efforts, the person in the position will:
- Provide building tours to and staff on-campus recruitment events for prospective students and their families as needed (some evenings and weekends required)
- Travel to schools across Missouri and a few other states for presentations and college fairs (some evenings and weekends required)
- Establish and maintain relationships with Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, and Texas high school and community college faculty and administration in order to schedule visits and determine future collaborative needs
- Coordinate and host events (e.g., room reservations, collaboration, marketing, set up, clean up, catering) pertaining to Academic, Financial, and Social themes (in-person and virtual)
- Welcome students, faculty, and staff, as well as prospective students and their families into the Office; determine needs, redirect others to appropriate resources
- Work collaboratively with other CEHD Recruiter, student ambassadors, student workers, staff, and faculty
- Maintain various databases and files for data on undergraduate recruitment and Education Ambassadors
- Manage recruitment social media platforms (@MizzouEdRecruit on Twitter and Instagram)
- Support the overall team of the Office of Recruitment, Diversity & Inclusion
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Salary
Salary Range: $20.05 to $24.50 per hour
GGS Grade: 009
University Title: Student Service Coordinator II

Shift
Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
With occasional night and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have:
- A Master's degree in Higher Education Student Affairs, Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- 3 years of related experience post-Master's degree.
- Experience with inclusion and retention efforts and programming.
- Proficiency in public speaking, facilitation, data collection and analysis, and event coordination.
- Familiarity with Outlook, Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Zoom.
- A valid Driver's license
