Assistant Professor, Accounting
The School of Accounting at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor in accounting with anticipated start date in August 2021. The School of Accounting's AACSB supplemental accounting accreditation and IMA Endorsement for Higher Education reflect high quality and rigorous undergraduate and Master of Accounting programs. Student-centered accounting faculty employ innovative learning experiences and engage with professionals to prepare students for diverse accounting careers.
The College of Business Administration (CBA) at UNO, an AACSB-accredited institution, is located in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska, a metropolitan area with an MSA population of approximately 940,000. Omaha is home to four Fortune 500 firms and has a strong business environment and high demand for accounting professionals. UNO offers about 200 programs of study to approximately 12,200 undergraduate and 2,900 graduate students. Despite its size, small classes are the norm.

Required Qualifications include (1) PhD in accounting (ABDs considered), graduate degree in taxation, or combination of graduate degrees in law and accounting; (2) evidence of the potential for teaching excellence in accounting; (3) clearly defined research agenda and evidence of interest in and ability to conduct high-quality research. Teaching interests in any area of accounting will be considered.
