Director of Academic Budget
Office of Academic Affairs
The Director of Academic Budget is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and communicating budget data that contributes to sound decision making in planning and allocating Academic Affairs resources. Working collaboratively with Academic Affairs leadership, the Director oversees all aspects of business activities for Academic Affairs including assuring compliance with policies and procedures. The Director contributes to designing, developing, and implementing policies and procedures. The Director works closely with the UNO Director of Budget and Fiscal Analysis in Business and Finance, the colleges' business managers, as well as collaborates with colleagues in all divisions of the university. The Director will provide planning, decision support, and provide recommendations for improvement to the Sr. Vice Chancellor and all Academic Affairs units including the colleges. The Director monitors budget status and provide budget reporting for Academic Affairs accounts. The Director reports to the Sr. Vice Chancellor
for Academic Affairs and supervises one or more full-time staff members.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance / Accounting, Public Administration or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Seven (7) or more years of progressive business, financial management and leadership experience
