The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Director manages the small business consulting assistance program of the Omaha area for the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC). This includes meeting the obligations of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration; meeting SBDC Key Performance Indicators (KPI) goals, providing direct consulting assistance to owners and potential owners of small businesses; developing and maintaining relationships with NBDC stakeholders, and cooperating with others as part of the NBDC team of consultants. SBDC Center Directors develop and deliver training programs which may be in conjunction with other NBDC consultants, including Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) consultants, exporting consultants, technology commercialization consultants, and other NBDC team members or partner organizations. The SBDC Center director promotes NBDC services by speaking at economic development gatherings, service clubs, chambers of commerce, and other community organizations.
Salary Information:
$55,000-$65,000/year
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or in related technical field. Computer literate: Microsoft Office products- Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
