Brief Summary of Job Description
The Online Program Coordinator is responsible for advising current and potential students for online graduate programs. This position is responsible for lead nurturing, student advising, and maintaining a working knowledge of campus offices and activities related to online education. The position seeks to provide timely communication with potential and current students from eCampus, NU Online and elsewhere. This position will use the CRM system to communicate and track current and potential students throughout the recruitment funnel. The Online Program Coordinator will also work within MyBLUE and ImageNow to assist students throughout the application and enrollment process.
Job Duties
Communicate effectively to prospective online graduate students through the CRM system, email, phone and other communication methods. Build relationships to support students through the decision-making and application process in navigating the admissions process and meeting deadlines.
Responsible for providing educational guidance and assistance for students by planning schedules, recommending courses and determining appropriate education solutions consistent with the online student's goals, interests, and abilities.
Unofficially evaluate student transcripts to determine the amount of potentially transferable credits into the program. Coordinate the transcript evaluation process among students, registrar, and department chairs.
Maintain a positive relationship with current online students by communicating with them in meeting their educational goals.
Maintain a working knowledge of campus offices, institutional policies and activities related to online education.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including initiation and follow-up communication. Must be highly organized, comfortable with technology, and good relationship building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communication, student affairs, or counseling.
