We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time faculty position located in Lincoln, Nebraska and serving statewide. The primary focus of this position is to provide innovative leadership for volunteer recruitment and the professional development of 4-H volunteers, faculty, and staff. This position will work closely with the statewide 4-H team, in a consultative work environment designed to advance the effectiveness and success of Nebraska Extension. We want individuals who are self-directed and able to work in a flexible environment. Required Qualifications:
• Master's degree required; one degree in youth development, professional development, human resource development, education, or closely related field. Master's degree must be completed by start date.
• Excellent teaching skills and the ability to empower others to be successful.
• Documented experience in volunteer development and the professional development of staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Outstanding leadership skills as demonstrated by roles in college, career, and/or community activities.
• Understanding of different ethnic and socioeconomic audiences and a commitment to developing and delivering both inclusive and targeted programming.
• Two years of experience in community-based youth development program leadership and management.
• Experience in working with individuals, coworkers, and teams to accomplish individual and/or group goals, as evidenced by college, career, and/or community activities.
