History Warren Distribution was founded in 1922 as Warren Oil Company by JamesSchlott, the grandfather of Robert N. Schlott, the current Chairman /CEO. The business began by supplying lubricating oils and relatedproducts to the agricultural business in the surrounding area. Suchbusiness remains the principle focus of the firm today. Today, threequarters of company revenue is from its own manufactured products(including both private label and house branded). Over the years we’ve received a number of performance recognition honors from our business partners including a Sears Partner in Progress Award (2000) and twice a WalMart Vendor of the Year Award (2003 and 2005). Timeline •1922: Warren Distribution founded by James Schlott •1971: Warren Performance Products founded as a contract packager of antifreeze. Bob Schlott (CEO and grandson of founder James Schlott) joined the company •1998: Invested in capital improvements, including an indoor tank farm and wheel blow molding •1999: Began lean manufacturing and gainsharing programs •2002: Established a new blending and packaging plant in Guntersville, Alabama •2006: Purchased an additional blending and packaging plant in Glen Dale, West Virginia •2008: Began contract packaging for a major oil company at Glen Dale •2011: Acquisition of Heartland Refining •2013: Added bottle manufacturing to the Guntersville plant
