Opening Details

The Financial and Administrative Coordinator supports annual budget development and day-to-day financial management for the Office of Campus Life. You will also be responsible for departmental purchasing and the recruitment and supervision of student staff. Responsibilities

The Financial and Administrative Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the financial operations of the Office of Campus Life and its component departments. This includes supporting budget development, advising budget managers and student leaders on the availability and responsible use of funds, managing and coordinating all department purchasing, and the tracking and monthly reconciliation of department and Registered Student Organization (RSO) purchasing cards. This work requires the active management of multiple budgets.

The Financial and Administrative Coordinator directly supports students through advising the student government's Facilitators of Allocating Student Taxes (FAST) and the recruitment, training, and supervision of student staff in the Office of Campus Life. The Financial and Administrative Coordinator also supports departmental projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree plus at least 5 years relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with budget development, financial management, and accounting practices.
  • Experience balancing the demands of competing projects and priorities and successfully meeting deadlines and achieving deliverables.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an attention to detail.
  • Experience with customer service, and the hiring and supervision of staff (student or otherwise).
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets; prior experience with PeopleSoft and/or Workday are a plus.
