JOB SUMMARY
WorkSource is staffing for an extremely busy Fabrication and Machine Shop looking for Machine Shop Assistants. The ideal candidate would have 1-2 years experience in a machine shop environment. They would be familiar with deburring parts, chasing threaded holes, hand-working machine surfaces, assisting machinists with setups and using machine shop tooling equipment.
JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITES
- Help skilled Machinists set up very large work pieces
- Assist Machinists with tooling
- Tooling inventory
- Honing bore diameters to size
- Reaming holes
- Operating Bridgeport / manual lathe (training provided)
- Operate Drill Press
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITES:
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to use a Forklift. Ability to use overhead crane preferred, not required
